At my workplace, we’ve got a lot of iPod Touches, including older models. But I ran into a snag. I’ve tried wiping five 2nd generation iPod Touch (A1288) using Apple Configurator 2 and they seem to just wipe and reset, but then the screen says “Connect to iTunes” in Recovery Mode etc. seems stuck on something…

I did a bit of testing and found that I had to activate the iTouches by going into the Finder and clicking on the iTouch icon and the iTouch icon would start to “activate” and then I would get the “unlock” screen. home screen with main applications. Personal files are intact, no additional programs installed by the previous owner …

Refurbished Apple Ipod Touch 5th Generation 32gb Yellow Rare Ios 6.1.2

Is this normal for a 2nd generation iPod Touch to wipe the package? I thought there would be a series of steps like setting up a passcode, signing in with your Apple ID (if you have one) and connecting to Wi-Fi… Or maybe it’s “What? a record?” the deals I’m doing?

This is normal, and iOS devices prior to software version 5 require iTunes activation. There was no Wi-Fi option that required a wired connection to activate. Basically, it’s better for mass activation and deployment of devices, you can activate as many devices as possible from the center at the same time if they don’t need any other configuration.

This morning on the way to school, I plugged my iPod Touch 2G into the car adapter and listened to music. After a while, the sound started coming from the iPod’s speakers rather than the car. I tried to push it like I always do, but it just kept going. When I got to school, I tried to turn up the volume to listen to music, but every time I pressed the volume button on the side, the ipod turned off. This went on for quite some time, and then the volume itself began to decrease. I finally restarted it and then shut it down again. Unfortunately, I tried turning it back on and it didn’t turn on. My hard problem is that my Ipod is jailbroken and won’t turn on, so I can’t reset it. Also, my warranty papers and box are missing. Is it a lost cause?

It should be possible to perform maintenance based on the series. Plus, since 2G came out in September, it’s got a year’s worth of service, whether it’s documented or not. If it doesn’t turn on even when plugged in, Apple probably doesn’t know you’ve jailbroken.

I turned off my ipod after jailbreaking (ipod 2g) and it wouldn’t turn on again.

Dude it won’t turn on, it’s on a black screen and I tried to put it in DFU mode but it held for 30 seconds and it won’t open!!

It doesn’t show up or read in itunes! No device is plugged into it so I can’t restore. Of course the mines are attached, but it’s not clear now, I had it working fine and I knew it on itunes and on my computer. If this was read on itunes it would have worked 2 hours ago! I don’t know what else to do. Any other ideas???

Guys I need help, I got this thing for SBSetting on my jailbroken ipod touch 2g last night before I went to sleep and when cydia was reloading data I reset it and I did emergency shutdown – power button + home button – today in the morning I tried to turn it back on and it won’t turn on, I tried to put it in DFU mode and it won’t turn on, I was confused about three ideas:

Can I fix this without sending it to TWO: Can someone work on it instead of THREE: Can I send it and fix it without noticing the jailbreak? .

IPod hacker says: I need help! I recently jailbroken my iPod Touch and turned it off to get something to work. Then I tried to turn it back on but it said my computer doesn’t recognize the device. I also tried putting it in recovery mode but it still says the device can’t be recognized! The next thing to do is wait a few days and try again. My iPod Touch is the second generation. (Yes, it is now possible to jailbreak the iPod Touch 2G.) HELP! I will check this thread daily. Also, if you have a solution, please email [email protected]. THANK YOU! Click to expand…

Can’t Restore Or Get Ipod Touch 2nd Gen In Dfu Mode! Help, Please.

Guys, if you have my ipod, free music downloads, broken software, etc., send it to apple and you could be in a lot of trouble.

First, apple thinks there should be restrictions on ipods, so it takes a long time to jailbreak, 2nd, jailbreaks should be paid apps you get for free, NOT app store deals, and 3rd, music should be. .99 is strictly against playing free music, so I’m always careful, asking what’s wrong and fixing it.

I just jailbroken my iPod and now I can’t open any of the apps I downloaded.

People don’t complain about jailbreaking (it’s their device) but why do they always complain when the sensor doesn’t work properly after jailbreak? You jailbreak at your own risk.
